Mrs. Ria Minnaar, widow of the sculptor Phil Minnaar, donated the largest part of his unique collection of fibre-glass sculptures to the Heritage Foundation (HF) this month. Press-cuttings and other documents will be transferred to the archive soon. Minnaar’s greatest contribution was most likely the wide range of celebrities that he sculpted. Grand plans are in store for a publication, exhibitions and sales. It is the first collection of its kind that the HF received and is of particular cultural historical importance.
